Do you currently run your own business? Are you currently using any type of social media outlets to promote your business as well as yourself as a personal trainer?
I hope the answer is yes! If no, fitness marketing is something you need to begin implementing. Trainerize does a great job of making it very easy for both you and your clients to share experiences through social media outlets. I am realizing more and more each day how important it is to put yourself out there as a fitness professional, leading by example through providing your audience with fitness and healthy eating tips on a regular basis. The more people follow your recommendations, share your tips with their friends, and begin to trust you, the more they will eventually head to your website to see what else you have to offer.
You have the ability to link your homepage to your Trainerize website, which you can customize to your own business and target market. Make it look inviting and intriguing by putting up different videos of some of your workouts, perhaps some videos of your clients working out, or even include video testimonials from current or past clients. Lot’s of the time clients who are successful in your program will be so happy that they will be more than willing to create testimonials or share their before and after pictures. I never need to offer money or prizes for testimonials, but why not offer a little incentive for them to share their workouts and success story with their networks?
My Tips For Getting More Clients To Promote Your Business On Social Media:
1. Think up a good hashtag
For example, #WorkoutwithMichelle (just made that one up!) If client’s use this hashtag when posting pictures on Instagram or Tweeting you can easily search their posts to keep track of who is promoting you online. Also make sure that they tag your company page when posting on Facebook or that they use the Facebook “check-in” feature.
2. Create an incentive program
Provide incentives for client’s sharing their workouts or experience on their social media networks. For example, for every 5 times a client posts on their Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram about working out with you (they can easily just click “share” on their Trainerize app when they begin or end a workout) they receive one point. Create a system for what they can get as they earn more points. For example, every 20 points get’s a private coaching call with yourself, t-shirts, gift certificates etc. Your clients are already online training so get them to start spreading the word!
3. Get some help
To much work for you to track it all? Hire someone through one of the many outsourcing websites to work for 2 hours per week to add up all of the incentive points. They usually work for around $2-$8/hour so this will not be a large cost to you, but will save you a lot of time.
Give it a try because the more people see your business name the more likely they will want to get in on the action and start training with you!
