It’s funny, considering I am a personal trainer with many online and in-person clients, I find myself spending a lot of time in front of the computer answering emails, designing online and in-person programs, answering more emails, answering social media posts, oh and did I mention answering emails! I
I am sure every trainer can relate when I talk about the crazy emails and texts I get on a regular basis from current and prospective clients asking questions I have already answered for them or that are posted all over my website. As I sat at my computer one day having a hard time getting through all my emails at 5am before I had to head to the gym to train clients for 6am, I thought to myself: “either I need to hire a secretary, clone myself, or find another way to get clients to try find the answers to these simple questions themselves.”
I do not mind answering difficult questions from clients because that is part of the job and I understand that, but answering the same simple questions over and over again can be very tedious and time consuming. Clients looking at my online training services and sending emails asking things like “how much do you charge?” and “what does each package include?” etc. can be very repetitive.
The answers to all of those questions are clearly discussed on my fitness website, but instead of getting frustrated, I found a solution.
Create a FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) section on your Trainerize website and continue to add to it over time!
I am sure there are many questions you get repeatedly from current and prospective online training clients over and over again right? Add a section for Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) on your website and then try this —- on your “Homepage” type a little sentence on the page: “Do you have a question about our online personal training services? We have answered many common questions in the FAQ tab above so go check it out to save yourself time and get your answers immediately.
Still have questions? Please feel free to fill in the “Contact” page and we will gladly answer any questions you might have regarding our online training services.” (or something along those lines). The way I look at it is, if that even cuts down half of the tedious emails you receive daily then it’s well worth it! Once this page is created you can just continue to add to it as more and more common questions come up.
