Ever notice how your overall mood affects your day? As easy as it is to “put on a happy face”, those emotions are easily spotted by those around you, especially in your own business. Don’t get me wrong, we all have our bad days but the more you can really really increase your own personal development to align with your fitness brand, the more they both will prosper. Let me give you a few examples on how to guide you into a more aligned mindset for both your personal development and business.
Show up for you the way you show up for your brand
Remember, you are the face of your brand which means you always have to bring your A-game. Prospects want to see a healthy individual with high energy who is ready to help them reach their own goals. What I mean by “show up for you” is to tighten your own routine.
For example, even as a full-time online trainer it may be so easy to hit the snooze button on the alarm and leave your work for later.
Instead, remember, this is your 9-5 career which you must show up for just as professionally as you would a traditional job. This may mean getting more disciplined in your own personal daily routine to leave room for workouts, healthy meals, and healthy habits. You want to embody the person your prospects want to strive for. This personal discipline increases the quality of your fitness brand! Just as you set aside time for your own business to create content and fitness programs for clients, set aside time for you! The more disciplined you are in your personal life, the more disciplined and professional you are in your own business!

Reverse the feeling of being stuck
We’ve all been there, especially during times of COVID, where you feel as though no matter how hard you hit the gas pedal, you’re going absolutely nowhere. During these times you can either
a) roll over and play dead, or you can
b) take this time to self reflect and continue planning ahead.
This is again, reflected in your personal life just as much as in your professional life! Take this time to turn inwards, perhaps shifting those negative perceptions into something more optimistic. Personally, during these times of feeling stuck, my go-to solutions to get out of that rut as fast as I can is with meditation, journaling, consulting with other fit pros, vision boarding, and problem solving. Whatever I can do to progress forward rather than feeling sorry for myself which in turn, brings my entire fitness brand with me.
For example, if I’m feeling like my fitness brand is suffering, I take it upon myself to figure out ways to grow and learn from these mishaps to continue scaling my own business. I challenge you to continue shifting your mindset to be positive, as this will help both your personal and professional development immensely.
Create balance in your personal life and your fitness brand
As an entrepreneur and the face of your own company, sometimes the line between your personal life and professional life become blurred. This blurred line perpetuates the feeling of being burnt out and living day-to-day in a state of constant stress and mental drainage. I urge you to find that balance in order to ensure the longevity of your personal health and your professional health.
One way to do this is to create boundaries. This may be creating time slots for your coaching calls, your program developments, your own workouts, etc. This ensures you’re investing in both parts of your life equally, creating that perfect balance. As much as we want to continue growing our client reach, it’s also important to save time for your own self and/or family. Just as I mentioned in #1, try to stick to the 9-5 work routine and stop the work emails and calls when the work day has come to an end. I cannot stress enough how much this will save your personal health as well as preserving your fitness brand.
These tactics are all things you can start implementing in your own personal and professional life today to better develop your brand! The more you take care of yourself, the more you can take care of your own fitness brand which will ensure the longevity of you and your company.
